Justin's Story
I’ve always had a deep connection to music. Before picking up a mic or a mixer, I was a vocalist who felt music in my bones. A close friend once said, “You were born to entertain,” and that’s when it clicked.
Becoming a DJ wasn’t just a choice but a natural next step in my journey.
Locochico22 Entertainment started with a nickname and a number. As a baby, my grandmother lovingly called me “Crazy boy,” and I always loved how it sounded in Spanish: Loco Chico. Add my favorite number, 22, and the name was born. Since my first gig in 2016, I’ve been bringing energy to weddings, parties, clubs, school dances, and special events.
What sets me apart? I am more of an MC than a traditional DJ. I don’t just press play; I set the mood. I bring the vibe. Whether on the mic or curating a playlist that keeps the dance floor moving, I focus entirely on creating moments that people won’t forget. My sweet spot is 90s hip-hop and R&B, but trust me, I’ve got something for everyone.
Each event I do is custom. I work closely with my clients to understand their needs, crowd, and vision. From subtle background tracks to high-energy dance floors, I adjust in real-time, read the room, and deliver the right sound at the right moment. Nothing beats the feeling of watching a crowd light up when the music hits just right.
When I’m not spinning tracks, you’ll probably find me at the movies, reading, or hanging out with my family (and yes, my kids help keep me up to date on the latest hits!). Oh, and a fun fact? I once auditioned for American Idol. Let’s say it was more about TV than talent, but hey, they still said I had an “amazing voice!”
Success for me is simple: people smiling, dancing, and heading home sweaty from their best night.
